The Year of Your Spring

Is this the year of your spring?

Will you bloom how you envisioned?

Or will flowers and vines

wrap around a new reality?

This winter has been long

Thank God you can see through ice

There’s a garden on the other side

if you could just stay warm.

Close your eyes

You can smell the impending burst

of a psychedelic sunshower

of verdant growth renewed.

Maybe this time around,

you’ll soar higher than the redwoods

Float like a hummingbird midair

before diving into blue depths

even surprising to you.

Perhaps this is the year of your spring.
